Planning on doing a deeper dive later, but I really like these guys. A couple tracks have been populating my Pandora stations lately and I have been impressed. These guys are SOLID and even though there is no guitar, I’ve been enjoying their grooves. I would put them in the modern funky jazz category. The drummer caught my ear initially–he is legit!

I just came across this performance at Jazzaldia from 2023 and thought I’d share. Side note–I’ve actually surfed that beach (Zurriola) right behind the crowd, so perhaps this is a more special venue performance in my mind. Anyhow, enjoy the Ezra Collective…
