Et Tu, Foo?

No Comments Uncategorized

Another one bites the dust. I used to like these guys. Some catchy songs, good production, better than average playing on all their albums. But ya know what? Fuck these guys. They’re literally just overpaid apes and their lack of consciousness stands out like a sore thumb. There is nothing incredible about the music; nothing overly technical nor super creative; nothing that transcends even a better than average rating. There is certainly nothing that screams to me, “You must get vaccinated immediately so that you can go see these idiots play a live show.”

It seems that many of their die-hard long term fans agree with me. Of course, now that the Foo(l) Fighters have reached permanent Top 40 status (they’re in the club now) they’ve decided that only some of their fans are good enough to be in the same room with them. What is it about the incessant virtue signaling that artists begin to do when they achieve fame and fortune? Like all the sudden their non-musical identities and thoughts have become so uber-important that we need to drop everything and listen to these oracles of wisdom–step back MLK; move out the way Ghandi; Dave Grohl is here and has something important to say.

You know what? So do I. FUCK YOU. You are an immoral pig and nothing more than a hip troglodyte in the universe of music. It’s great that you’ve made your fame and fortune from music–it really is; but besides playing the same worn out, cookie-cutter corporate alt-rock over and over again, you are not any more important than when you were playing behind a heroin junkie up in Seattle. That music wasn’t really any better either, except that Cobain’s drug induced narcissism wrote great lyrics and it was literally entertainment to watch him self-destruct on stage. You? You played a whole tour sitting on some ridiculous looking throne that moved back and forth into the crowd because YOU thought you were that important. Most guys would take the year off, but no, Dave Grohl needs to bring the music to the fans, right? But what now? Those fans that you worked so hard, so tirelessly to accumulate over the years; the fans that have bought your music even though most of it is boring as fuck–what about them? Apparently, those fans that choose to think for themselves and not blindly follow the media, big pharma and a bunch of other corrupt, profit seeking pigs are now not good enough to see you in person because they don’t want to be an idiot guinea pig like you? Seriously, get fucked!

Back in the day, the Foo(l) Fighters wouldn’t dare discriminate against their fans in such a ill-thought out, self-entitled way that enables medical tyranny. But hey, now that they are rich and famous, here’s comes the virtue. I’ve railed against this time and time again. First, people buying your music does not make you any more intelligent, moral or important. I hate to say it, but the musical IQ of most music listeners is sub-85. While some in the pop realms accredit their musical status to how many records they’ve sold, for most of us real pros, we look at the pop industry as a collection of idiot artists, working with a few “chosen” producers that push out the same bullshit year over year over year seeking the green god. We look at you with disdain because in all your life, all the time you had to spend learning your craft, you instead chose the path of the shekel–rather than strive to be creative or transcendental, you sold out. Great job, pat yourselves on the back!

Second and more important, you’re just a musician. You are another spec of dust in a universe containing trillions of galaxies with an unlimited amount of other low IQ specs of dust. How much philosophy have you read? Quantum physics? How about finance? History? Cosmology? Tell us Dave, what makes you so great that we should listen to anything you say, especially in the field of medicine–namely immunology and biotech? As Zappa once so eloquently put it “Shut up and play your guitar.” That’s all you got bro. That’s your gift. You’ve been fortunate enough to have known the right people, been in the right situations and had the right timing to become famous and well off from music. Congratulations! But it’s not because you’re special. Keep in mind there are tens of thousands of drummers, singers, guitar players, front men (& women), even musicians in general that make you look like you’re on the junior varsity team. They just weren’t as lucky as you were, but they are still insanely more talented. These people would never dare segregate their fans on the basis of coercive propaganda brought by big pharma, the media and government. They don’t have that luxury and neither should you.

Third, no intelligent musician would espouse ideologies that limited their fan base. Translation: Just because people buy your music does not mean they share the same beliefs as you do. Most smart musicians know to leave politics, religion, etc. out of their shows and ideology because it divides people. Pro-tip: People can like your music and not agree with you. It’s a simple concept; it resides at the core of freedom. Most conscious musicians understand this and as such do not press issues that would ignore or ostracize their fan base based on pure virtue signaling. And then there is the other kind who make it all about virtue and ultimately lose their fan base. Tay-tay comes to mind. It must be so wonderful to have an army of 12-year olds at your beckon call–really intelligent music fans! This is where you are headed Dave, take note. Perhaps some of your older cuts will be remembered here and there, but you’re not Led Zeppelin; you’re not Bob Marley; you’re not Marvin Gaye. You are just another corporate sell out who’s music will be forgotten over time. Count on it as you perform for less and less fans as time goes by.

Finally, the gift of music is all about consciousness. This is the secret–our universe is based on the same mathematical concepts and intervals as music is. Learning to play and perform music ultimately means nothing if you never discover this beautiful key. The true gift of music has nothing to do with money, the number of albums sold, notoriety or popularity. It only comes from the total lifelong devotion to the craft. It is a time honored tradition, an invitation to an exclusive pedigree that many musicians before you have achieved and many after you just might be lucky enough to behold, if they stay the course. What Dave has shown us in his musical material world is that you can be extremely successful and yet a total unconscious automaton at the same time. He has learned nothing useful or beautiful from music, nor has it improved his conscious standing in our vast cosmos. Music = Ego to Dave. Why else would he push the vaccine? What benefit to him is it if his fans are vaccinated or not? Dave, are you vaccinated? If so, why does the vaccination status of others matter? Those who choose to be a big pharma guinea pig are protected, at least as far as they know. Does your vaccine work only if someone else is vaccinated? If you believe this, why did you get vaccinated in the first place? Most healthy people’s immune systems work just fine without big pharma’s injections. But maybe you were too busy learning power chords to research this.

Btw–If you believe the stats, only about 50% of the country is vaccinated. I would opine here that the number is likely really only about 20-25%. Remember this entire vaccination campaign is full of propaganda. (And why would a safe, life saving medical technology need marketing, coercion and bullying for you to believe in it? That’s a whole ‘nother Oprah.) Essentially, the Foo(l) fighters are reducing their fan base by at least 50% by this pro-vaccine propaganda idiocy–and these 50% are some of the more brain dead, unconscious fans that they could have. Perhaps Dave likes that because they will continue to buy the same worn out, used up minor riffs that he writes. My guess is that someone behind the scenes is subsidizing his decision, but I digress. How much of a giant idiot does he look like shunning half of his fan base because they are actually awake and think for themselves?

Dave, you’ve outed yourself as a gigantic fuck stick in the musical cosmos. You are nothing more than a shill for big pharma and a half rate musician at best. No one that really performs music at high level even knows your name, let alone has any of your albums or has even seen you play! So go ahead; virtue signal all day to the fans you have left until they are either dead, auto-immune compromised or just simply too tired of your pedestrian music to give a shit about buying a ticket to another lame show. And be proud of yourself! Invent a new flag that you can fly that represents all of the colorful virtues that you represent. Maybe you can make a new sign with a clever tag line like, “Music is Real”. May you not only get what you want, but what you deserve, dickhead.
